Fresno Basketball Standout Returns from Terrifying Injury, Snags Valley Title

Angela Whitfield was playing powderpuff football at a school event in May when she suffered a serious injury, requiring her to get an ACL, MCL and Meniscus surgery. The San Joaquin Memorial basketball standout in Fresno didn’t initially know how long she would have to stay away from the court. With her unwavering dedication to recovery, however, Whitfield returned to basketball in six months and played a key role in helping the Panthers snag a Valley Championship.
